Tim and Pam Baker

Tim and Pam Baker founded The Philip Hayden Foundation in 1995 to honor their friend and coworker, Philip Hayden who passed away at an early age while working in China. Tim and Pam had a passion to help orphans with special needs, provide a loving home while meeting their medical needs, and advocate for adoption. God honored this passion, and miraculously provided the grounds for Shepherd’s Field. Generous donations from supporters all over the world have helped our Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village project flourish, with more than 4,000 children receiving care and love at SFCV.

In 2006, Shepherd’s Field welcomed its first children. The seven-acre campus in Tianjin now boasts children’s homes, a medical clinic, school, a guest house for visitors and guests, an outreach center, a vocational center, and an administrative building.

The Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village campus is staffed by local Chinese workers in positions of nannies, teachers, and doctors. In addition, some positions are filled by foreign staff, who often support themselves.
